Dining & Shopping

Just outside the Punta Mita gates is the lively town of El Anclote (also known as Punta de Mita). About a mile from Casa Querencia and easily reachable by golf cart, car, or on foot, the town offers a colorful variety of restaurants, shops and local flavor.

There are many excellent restaurants on the beach in town, with tables in the sand, the catch of the day and guacamole made fresh at your table. For a gourmet experience, Tuna Blanca, on the beach in town, is one of Mexico’s best restaurants. For a change of pace, there are a few authentic Italian restaurants with homemade pastas and desserts. If you’re craving a cappuccino or a smoothie or fresh salad, Boca Deli in town is the place; if you’re in the mood for pizza, Pizza Mita, in town, delivers. Or better yet, ask our chef to make pizzas in our pizza oven at the house.

You’ll also find upscale shopping boutiques as well as local handicrafts in town. Vendors stroll the beach, selling silver jewelry, colorful pareos and other traditional souvenirs. For high-end wares, the shops at the Four Seasons are fabulous and pricey. For more shopping variety, head up the road 10 kilometers to Sayulita or San Pancho, or back toward the airport to Bucerias, with its year-round Mexican market.
